Anyone use coin grading software?

The idea of being able to match an image of your coin to an image in the software seems like an excellent idea. However they don't seem to be that popular. I just did a search in the archives and didn't get any hits...but got several hits for coin inventory software. I'm not really interested in coin inventory software, Excel works fine for me. But I'm interested in coin grading software and if anyone here has found it useful.

Here's an example of the type of product I'm considering. Here's the link.

It only works well for circulated examples, though. The mint state grades have too many variables involved for a picture to adequately convey what to look for and how to balance them.

Looks OK to me,although I have seen it alot cheaper then $49.99.You could probably pick up a copy for under $20.
  • I was thinking the same thing, that for MS grades it would be tough to use. But it should be good for circulated grades. Seems a lot better than the Photograde book.

Photograde.......got it at a show for $10 or so several years ago........agreed...only good for circ.
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.
