I'm usually over at the US coin forum...

(as you can tell by my name) But yesterday I found a Topps baseball card on a plaque type thingy that says WORLD SERIES '98. It has a picture of Tino Martinez up at bat. Sorry I don't have any pictures. Is it worth anything?
thanks

    No - it really isn't
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

About as valuable as a grungy 1998 quarter.
  • wait, so then ur saying its worth 25 cents lol not even.
  • It is worth about:

    1 1983 dime, 2 1991 nickels, and 5 1996 pennies. Because of the plaque.

7 MVP awards, the single season HR record, career walks record, single season walks record, 700HR/500SB, and two batting titles near 40 years old. How can one argue that those aren't stats of the greatest to ever play the game??? All this and there is still more to come!!!! Bonds:2005 NL MVP. Or are you going to doubt him again?

  • Coinfreak,

What kind of freak are you? Who would be odd enough to collect little pieces of metal with pictures of dead people on them. Then, you have the need to get each coin graded like one coin is any better than another? What audacity. Different years, different issues, same crap. We here on the baseball card forum have a much better hobby...We collect little pieces of cardboard with pictures of dead people on them. Get them graded to see who has the better card. And, then, once a set is complete we move onto another set.

    Do you see the difference?

Fine. You're right. There is no difference. I'm a fockhead. God, I hate myself. I'm going to pour gasoline on my head and light it tonight. Just you all wait. Look out your window and see if there's a burning gasoline head nearby. It's me. AAAARGGGGGH! I just punched myself in the nuts. Stomach ache. Deep breaths.
