My buddy made it!!!

Bobby Madritsch made his first start for the Seattle Mariners last night. He was on my little leage all-star team as a kid. The first person I actually know and played with is in the bigs!

    American Indian as well. He had another good start last night. Too many tattoos, though.

    He is only part Native American. He was raised by his dad who is Caucasian. His mother wasn't in the picture. I believe she was Mexican and Native American, but don't quote me. As for the tattoos, thats pretty common among the Chicago south side.

    Man has he grown, he was always pretty lanky. He did have the best pick off move to first I have ever seen.

    I thought he had made his first start last week against the Devil Rays? Good looking kid and you can tell he'll be a fighter on the mound and won't be afraid to go after hitters

    Kinda weird seeing a Major League Baseball Player with that many tattoos.

    Is it Fick of the Braves that is tatted up and down his arms???

    Yah, His older brother was my age and we played on the same high school team. Bobby and I were on a traveling All-Star league together. I think I will go to the Sox game in September to see if he's starting or in the bull pen. It's exciting for me because half the guys I grew up with didn't amount to anything, let alone a major leaguer.

    Nothin at all wrong with tatoos, but some batters complained about the guy in Toronto (said they were a distraction) and the league made him cover them up.

    I read about him a little while ago on espn.com. The story was mainly about Ryan "Space Needle" Anderson's fight to come back from long-term injuries, but his roommate was Madritsch. Both are good stories. Glad to see him make it and it's very cool that someone here knows him.
