1976 Type 2 or Type 1 Proof Ike?

This Ike looks like a type 1 to me. Is it really a type 2 as stated on the PCGS holder, or could the seller have accidently put the wrong reverse picture on the auction?

For sure a Type I reverse. The obverse also looks matched to a Type I.

Could be a good buy as the Type I is tougher than the Type II.

  • Not a very good picture, but it sure looks like Type 1 block lettering to me !!

PCGS slab error, and not their first in this area.

    A positive 1976-S Type I image

Edit to add: I wanted to agree with what segoja said about it being a good price. I paid over $200 for a 76-S Proof type I so this is indeed a fantastic buy! I guess the seller didn't know his Ike dollars! His loss, buyer's gain image
