IKE COLLECTORS RE: E-BAY AUCTION

please look at e-bay auction 3924884543 1972 type 2 pcgs ms65.

i understand the rarity of this item, but am a bit surprised at the strong bidding. i don't have any information as to what previous prices have brought.

any insight/information/opinions would, as always, be greatly appreciated

The pricing is about correct and should go a bit higher.

On this variety, expect that 100,000 coins or less are in existence, with very few in gem (MS65 or above) condition due to the poor planchet quality and strike.

An MS64 coin would bring in $300.00 to $400.00 and should probably fetch higher in my opinion.

These coins in gem condition, i.e. few marks, clean cheek/jaw, etc., are just hard to locate.

Last year, one on eBay went for $2,250. Prices on this variety have
risen since then. The last two sold privately (that I know about) went for
$3,500 each......Don't be suprised if this one goes in the $3,700 range!image

These are VERY tough to find in 65 condition! Rampage is correct on 64 price.
It is thought that most were shipped off the casinos.

This gem should fetch a very good price. As most others have said it is VERY hard to find this coin in MS65. Between circulation and the poor quality from the Philly mint on this series this an outstanding example!! The board member selling this coin knows his Ikesimage
