PCGS Turnaround guarantee

For any that were wondering or interested, I just received 6 certificates for regular grading on the PCGS guarantee. I had four submissions of which two were two days late and the other two were three days late. The time calculation included two "down" days at shows and the holiday ( July 4th). I figured it at ten submission certificates, but won't argue that point. There was no hassle when I called to inquire about the late posting of grades. Now I wonder if the certificates are guaranteed as Well?

I knew I had some coming recently and I waited quite a while for them to show up. I finally broke down and called to ask if I had to request them, whereupon they showed up just a few days later.

My hunch is there's no hard and fast set of procedures in this area, but then I'm a pessimist.
    When in doubt, don't.
  • They owe me some for each of the last two submissions, and I haven't heard anything yet. I'll have to ask in Pittsburgh!
  • I recently dealt with late submissions myself. You do have to call them and request the certificates over the phone. My experience was quite pleasant- the gentleman on the phone was polite and very quick to address my request. My certificates for free gradings were at my door in a couple of days. As for the guarantee- the freebies are not guaranteed for turnaround.
