Are there any examples of silver 1965 quarters or dimes and conversely, are there any clad 1964 quarters or dimes?
You would think the big switch over would have brought about some errors but I've never heard or seen any examples.
Do they just not exist?
Thanks!

clad 1964 quarter, a dozen or so silver '65 quarters and similar number of silver '65 dimes.
There are no reported clad '64 dimes but there are persistent rumors of '65 silver halfs.
Cladking: Are the pieces you described very valuable??

i have no method to weight it for sure.
the 65 clad is177.47 grains or 11.5 grams !
<< <i>I supposed one would have to weigh the 65 silver half to know if it is 90% or 40%.

There is too little demand for most modern rarities to get a good handle
on values. The most valuable pieces tend to be tied up in collections so
they rarely come on the market. Of the approximately fifteen known '75 No-S
dimes, they will usually command prices in the $40,000 range but it's been
a few years since I've heard of one trading.
Many moderns with very few pieces extant will trade in the $1,000 range.
A unique pattern recently failed to bring even a $1000 bid but this may be
caused by the fact that the issue was poorly known.
I wouldn't mind getting shot at the '64 clad quarter.

Proof, you know the trick about using a popcicle stick and a pencil to make a balance to seperate 1982 copper and zinc cents? Works for silver and 40% half dollars too. With the cents you only have about a half gram difference in weight With the half dollars you have a full gram difference. Should work just fine.
