interesting album! what's it say inside the front cover?
does it include the more esoteric types like the 1873-74 with arrows (as distinct from the 1853-55 ones)? does it have 3 types of 3 cent silvers? does it include the bust coins??
edit: hey, i see that you have already collected your Lincoln Memorial cent!
Nope. Had no minor varieties. About the same as now.
What I liked was that it stopped at the Lincoln Memorial and Kennedy silver No bicentennials or Ikes.
Very classy and old.
Inside cover just said how easy it was to use and general plug for the line.
Was called "The CONTINENTAL Line"
Pages very deep so slides didn't have to be COAXED over the coins.
Had it FILLED with absolutely gorgeous coins. Sold all but one....the WRONG one.
I kept the nearly perfect Morgan but sold the nearly perfect PROOFLIKE BUSINESS STRIKE PCGS 64 ...Seated Dollar w/motto. 8 grand seemed like a lot when bid was 4k. I would bet that "rattler" now resides in a 65 coffin.
Great Dansco album for half dollars. Has anyone ever heard of the possiblity/rumor of a Franklin being made with a 1964 date? If so, that would be a great coin to see. If not, should we start a rumor?
I just sold this Walking Liberty set last week, housed in a Dansco album dated 1941. What's cool is Dansco listed three slots for the 1946 coins but doesn't give them MintMarks. Dansco also did not provide openings for 1947! Dansco had no idea, in 1941, that the Walker series would end a year after the last year Dansco provides for the album! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3925603191&ssPageName=STRK:MEAFB:IT

Oh well.
Is there a copyright date anywhere on the album?
I have an old cardboard Dansco folder for the Franklin half dollar series.
But try as I may, I can't seem to fill those last four holes.
