The oldest PCGS Pop. report I have is 4/96. It shows only 1858 for the 1858 FE cent. Since then, the pops have been reported as either SL or LL. That is why there are so many more LL 1858's than SL's ( by default LL until proven otherwise).
Can anyone provide the date when the split occured??
Do you think the pops are really even for high grade coins??
