eBay listing advice sought

When listing lots from the sixties, should a second category besides "lots" be used? For example: 450 different 1967 cards, should that be listed under "sets" also or "singles" if the card numbers are listed?

I would appreciate advice from anyone who has had experience with selling groups like this before.

Thanks!

  • I wouldn't bother wasting the extra money to list under Singles as well, unless there are some notable big-name singles worth mentioning. Of course if you do have such cards you should be listing them by themselves under Singles anyway.
  • I intend to include any premium cards I have with these lots. For example, my 467 card 1965 lot has Carl Yastrzemski and a Jim Hunter rookie in it. Although the cards are respectable, they are not PSA 7 or better so I am not selling them individually.

Does anyone feel that I should list it under "sets" as well as "lots"?

When I'm listing say 30 different team lots,
I'll list 1/3 under lots, 1/3 under sets, and 1/3 under singles,
just so everyone will catch at least one and then hopefully look at the others,
but I never list anything under two different catagories, unless it's really oddball.

I'd be interested to know how people search on eBay.
For example, I never search under lots, sets, or singles,
but instead just search the general catagory of football cards, and then type in specifics.
