So, how is it possible?

I'm registering my 52 Topps set (in 8), and I've listed all the cards I have. ALL are PSA 8. So, how is the "GPA" 7.98? How is this possible?

    Doug;

    First... congratulations! That is one heckuva set to build in PSA 8! Good luck.

    As far as the 7.98 GPA, there is probably a database error at PSA concerning one (or more) of your PSA 8 grades. It's possible they are in PSA's system as lesser grades than 8. Did you check each card after certification to see if PSA's grade matches your flip? They made this mistake with two cards in my Play Ball set a couple years back. I emailed scans of the cards and they fixed their database pretty quickly.
  • Thanks for the congrats. It's close to 92% done with all the big ones down.

    I did check, and all were listed as 8s. I have one card that is 8 OC. Would that bring it down?

  • An 8OC is the same as a 6 when you put it in your set. Qualifiers take a 2 point deduction.

    By the way, nice set.
  • Yep, that's your answer. Qualifiers deduct 2 points. Your 8OC becomes a 6 for the registry....just not fair is it?
