It will be my first experience with them. I have read good and bad about them, hopefully, these will turn out fine.
Please-no replies needed from those who want to flame me for having coins conserved. There is a reason for everything I do, and always a good one.

What type of coins are you sending them? Copper, silver, gold?
What type of "work" are you looking to have done?
Expectations in relation to the problems with the coins?

They are all 1972-P Type 2 IKE dollars. All are UNCs up to MS64 in grade. They all have this brownish stuff on them. Does not appear to be laquer and it is not eating away at the coins. It is not natural tone either.
Don't really know what it is, but they all came from the same person and I assume they were stored in poor environmental conditions.
I would not send in any common coins for conservation, but these deserve it based on their rarity.
<< <i>Good luck! Most of my experience with them has been positive. You do know that you can check your order status at their web site? >>
It their's like NGC? Pretty much stating in grading (conservation), in packaging, etc?
They do not tell you what they do to the coins right? Unless you pay some $50.00 or so?

I tried to get pictures (scans), but the brown stuff just would not show as well as it should. It is okay though. I will not forget what they looked like.
I have used them in the past on silver proof coins. They do a great job - some would call it 'miracles'. They have been able to remove haze, spots, and ugly toning. Don't expect that grades will be high after conservation. My highest grade after conservation is Proof 66.
I just got five Frankies back from them from an experiment. They charged $15 per coin. They were able to minimize milk spots (but not remove), remove black spots, and generally improve the appearance. All 5 of these coins were so ugly, nobody would have purchased them for anythnig above melt.
Now that I know what they are capable of, I will send a couple of more expensive pieces under the terms of their grade guarantee. At least I don't have a downside.
Best of all, I have been getting coins back in well under a month. Far faster than PCGS - unless one goes the $50 route.
