Do You "Brown Nose" Dealers Hoping You'll Get A Good Deal On Something?

Come on admit it!!!! I want to know the right way to brown nose these guys. I heard if I bring them some ice water at a show, I might get on their good side. But they might complain (you know how tired they are) and want bottled water. I could bring them an over-cooked hot dog, but my luck they would be a vegetarian.
So how do YOU suck up to the dealers, hoping to get a better deal. I want to get it right folks. Heh, let's see how fast this thread dies.

So what's the point of this thread? I dunno

None......
But since you have nothing better to do, and it's early in the morning, that might have somthing to do with it.

Actually I did help out Mark Feld. While in SD one day I spent about 5 hours photographing some of his coins and taught him how to edit the pics and even taught him how to use the camera he just bought.
I wouldn't call it brown-nosing. Mark has done alot for many on this Forum and I just wanted to repay the favors he has done. If we have developed a better relationship because of it that's great. I firmly believe that having strong relationships with trust worthy dealers can only be beneficial for not only you but the dealer as well. I can't be at every show and every auction, but he is. Better coins for me, more sales for him.

Leave it to a lawyer to show the proper way to suck up!!!
Just kidding Michael...... Just couldn't resist!

Wow, what kind of lawyers do you deal with? I know very few that "suck up" maybe if more would they would have a little more humility and my profession wouldn't be so hated.
Most of the ones I know wouldn't waste their time letting you pay them $200 an hour to suck up to them.

I don't have a need to deal with lawyers....... Perhaps you didn't see the humor in my remark? I was just trying to put a little humor in this thread but apparently none was seen by you, or maybe you should learn to use emoticons like I do and you wouldn't feel insulted, (and not be so defensive), if that's the case with you.

I have no shame in this "kiss up"-but then I value my life

This is not to say that I would never help out a dealer should I be in a position to as I would help out anyone should I have the time ahd be in a position to do so.
To answer your question though, I know that Marty brown noses dealers by helping them unload their non-moving inventory by duping uninformed collectors into buying said non-moving inventory.
Hey Marty, BITE-YOURSELF!

For some reason I find this a bit in jest. Hey I'm not a "Dealer." Back as you were.
