I was watching two ebay auctions tonight for 61 PSA 8 stars and both times, I forget to come back and check until a few minutes after they ended. And what do I see both times? toppsgun winning them at the price that I wrote down that I would bid. Well, there's always a Plan B.

So if you did not bid on the card it really does not matter who wins, correct? The only person that should be getting on your nerves is you, not the winner of an auction that you never participated in.

Don't we have a 'tongue-in-cheek' emoticon? Yes, the lesson is for me not to forget to come back but I did find it interesting that toppsgun was active (and successful) on the same cards I wanted to get. That's all. Sometimes this board gets a little too defensive. [Now where is that tongue-in-cheek smiley thingey?]

I was only speaking out of experience for having done the same exact thing. Now I snipe the ones I really want and dont need to worry about forgetting to be at the computer at a specific time.

Actually Plan B was Rob's but I'll take the advice and learn about sniping.

Same thing happens between me and PC32, but every once in awhile when the moon is setting just right I sneak one by him. Or maybe he is setting me up for when he starts unloading all those cards from the '66 Topps he's been stealing away from me when my wallet is a little light on funds
