Hello to all! This is my first post, and I thought I'd start it off by posting an auction for this monster!
EBAY LINK
I'm anxious to see the final bid price on this piece. Any guesses? Anyone else think the toning is not too attractive?
BTW, after lurking for a while, I noticed that many members have a specialty/preference for one type of coin, grade, condition...mine is mercury dimes which are quite possibly the most beautiful U.S. coin ever minted. One day, I'd like to turn my circulated merc collection (less the 16-D, 42/1, micro s 45) into a complete uncirulated, slabbed set with all the key dates! I've already started with a PCGS 1941-D MS65FB that I bought for $0.50 in 1998 (bought raw, sent it away after staring at it for months)!

<< <i>thanks for the welcome...oh btw...I wish this was my auction! The most I've ever spent on a coin was $30! I'm trying to a get a snapshot of my slabbed merc to use as an icon but it keeps coming out blurry (any digital camera tips out there?) >>
Try to focus?
Just kidding. This is the sarcastic attitude you will find on here.
Welcome.
Mercury dimes just might be the most beautiful coin ever put into circulation. Almost correct but not quite. They are the Most Beautiful coin ever !
If you need a Merc for a Icon many are available from the list for you to choose from untill you can get yours fired up and ready to go.
Take Care.
