"Missing E" quarter?

I have a couple of Delaware state quarters that I bought from an ad in Numistmatic News back in 1999 (when I was first learning about collecting, a young and impressionable 30 years old image ) At the time they were billed as "Missing E" quarters, and sure enough, they say "The First Stat" on the reverse. (they also had the "Filled Hair" variety)

In any case, I chalked them up as beginner's mistakes and have never heard anything about them since. Is there any premium attached to these at all? I assume they are just the result of a filled die (the strike is very poor in general on these coins) and worth about 25 cents. I spent $30 on them at the time imageimage

Sheesh, I could have purchased some supplies to stock up for the Y2K disaster with that money.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you have been had. Sorry image

Filled-die errors are known on all the issued State quarters. They are very common and collectors should be wary of paying a premium for them.
