I use a Hewlitt Packard scanner! I am getting ready to buy a macro lens with ring light for my Canon G2 though so I can take better photos.

I'm poor, so I use a Ricoh RDC-4300 that I bought used. They can be had for about $60 or so.

I use (and highly reccomend) the Canon Powershot G1. It's a few years old and is 3.3 megapixels, but it works great for coin photography. Here are some Morgan Dollar pics as an example:

Let me know if you want pics of some different kind of coin.

I use a Nikon Coolpix 3200, cost about $250. For lighting I'm using two 60w softwhite bulbs. I have the white balance set on incandescant. I still need to practice with lighting and using the different camera settings. This is the best pic I've took so far.

Nikon 4300, I believe this camera can be bought for about $400 now.

I use a Kodak CX6330 (3.1 megapixels), got it with a memory stick for less than $200 sometime ago. It works better on coins than I thought it would. Lighting is very important.

Well I went ahead and did it. I just ordered a 250mm macro lens converter for my Canon G2. Should be here Wed. and I'll start trying to figure out coin photography.
