For the BBL-lovers, here's a more "expressive"image French calendar medal by Raymond Corbin for 1968:

One of my favorites is this US zodiac calendar medal by Ernest Lauser for 1974 (the year I graduated from high school and started college):

We at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United nations produce A calendar medal each year with different themes in both bronze and silver.

I am attempting to attach a photo of this year's medal.

If anybody is interested in purchasing either this or previous years' medals from 1982 onwards please PM me.

I am also attaching a photo of our 2002 medal which is a particularly nice medal in very high relief.

    Yeah, sometime during the 1980's-1990's.

Here's a perpetual calendar I saw on ebay last night.

Thanks for all the compliments!! LovelyDarkAngel, I don't collect calendar medals per se, but there are some very nice ones out there. There's a German one, from 1983 I think, that I failed to win and still hope to find again someday. MACO's calendar medals seem to have had the most attractive designs in the latter 1960s and 1970s, but you can find attractive ones from most any period. I don't know when they started offering them, but calendar medals have been popular in the US since late colonial days.

Angielczyk, that is a nice example by Francesconi!! I'm not particularly into modern medals, but that's certainly one that could find its way into my collection! image If someone else hasn't already, PM me and let me know what the cost is. image
