this site has been dead for a long time. ever since us old timers don't spend much time in here due to all the junk post and problems.

BUT
some of us are going to be coming back to put some life into CU again. and try to make CU a top site again

I personally found it a waste of time for a while to post in here. Most of the thiefs and immature wads have finally left as they have found nobody cares if they post stupid crap anymore, so it is possible some will start to filter back in here at some point...

The Energizer bunny and I just keep going and going, lol...I try and check in here everyday to see if there is anything worth responding to, lol.. Having fun on my other site too, Highlight Reel Trading. A lot of the oldies come on there and do some trading and talking, so feel like I am still in touch. I think things will pick up again soon once football season gets going. If you didn't come on HRT this past weekend you missed a kool contest, gave away a free box of new cards to one of our members

.....I don't do that every week, but just wanted to let our members know we appreciate their loyalty, and hope more will join! I know, a blatant spam, but y'all know I don't do it often, lol.....

well HTR could end up the way the old CU was .... people trading and talking without having to worry about the rippers and aholes that came onto CU and trashed it. we screen our members and if ya rip or cause proplems your gone .

I've just recently come to realize that buying sports cards is a total waste of money.

First of all, you can't do anything with them, either you display them or they sit in a box.

Second, when you try to resell your items, usually you end up getting less than you paid. (not all the time, but the majority of the time)

I'd rather buy more memorabilia, but that doesn't do anything either, but at least it looks better than a crappy small card.

Cards are a becoming a waste of money due to dealers/companies and as soon as others realize that, the market will take a big hit. Cardboard with a picture on it, that is all it is. Oh wait, some have autos, but those also have been found out to be forged. Not going to mention brands, but there are several fake autos floating around on the market.

It's always been like that. You buying the wrong things if you are doing it for investment. But if you just do it for fun, that's different. Just like I spent $75 for 10 e-Topps at IPO. Those 10 are now valued at $15. I prefer in-person and through the mail autos. Bring back the fun to the hobby.
