cu3000 questions

Can one of our board members explain the source of information for the cu3000 index and what it means to us regular guys/gals? Interesting tables but is it for PCGS graded material only or from dealer inventories/sales...what is the deal here?

    I think it is just like a sum of a bunch of the prices in the price guide. You can find a list somewhere as to which coins they sum. I don't know how they arrive at the price guide prices, for at least most of the stuff I collect the price guide is way off.
