I emailed the seller. He has indicated that even though he disagrees with my opinion regarding the coin's having been cleaned or polished, he will change the "Branch Mint Proof" bologna (bologna being my word, not his). You can bet I will check back in on his listing.
I like the way he has photographed the coin sitting on a brightly colored background. No doubt in my mind that the appearance of toning is nothing more than reflection.

That site is independant of eBay. Just bookmark it, and when you want to check up on an eBayer, paste their user ID in the box.
