I JUST CRACKED OUT MY FIRST COIN...RESULTS POSTED

for the resubmission/crossover game. An NGC 64 1883-O Morgan, pastel rainbow with textile toning. Not a "Monster" by any means. I can't see why it won't make 65, it has a pretty good strike for an '83-O.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!

Sure. It's a lot more convenient that just having 10 of each. That always leaves an odd digit out on each appendage!

Looks end roll toned, I have an '04 NGC MS64 that looks identical to yours on the obverse, my reverse it white, full of luster and mark free. Makes me what if across the street they don't like end roll toning?
    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.
  • Looks familiar.image

BTW.....I think the first one you posted from NGC definately has a shot at 65.image

When you see it up close, you can see a textile pattern in the field behind Liberty's head.

Its a 64, the lines on the cheek preclude 65 regardless of the tone, IMO.

why do you feel obliged to put more $$$ in a plastic co's treasury? why not enjoy the COIN & keep the submission fees for something fun, like ice-cream, or a movie w/ the kids?

You're looking at the wrong coin.

Because I choose to spend my money the way I choose, not the way other people would spend my money. Why should I support a bunch of morally corrupt people in Hollywood by taking my dogs to see a movie?

I agree. If you feel compelled to submit it, I would do it as an upgrade; I would not crack the slab.

You people are looking at the wrong coin. The first 1883-O in the very first post is the one that was cracked out and submitted. It has NO lines on the cheek.

The second coin pictured later with the lines on the cheek is already in a PCGS 64 slab.

    Two different coins.

  • Good eye Twodogs. I wasn't seeing scratches on the cheek. Glad to see you received the grade you expected.

  • Thanks everyone. As I have stated before, everything that comes through my hands sooner or later has to be sold so that new stuff can come through my hands. I think that the textile toning(Can't make it out in the pic.) on this coin, plus the 65 grade is going to get me some nice new stuff to keep my habit going in the near future.
