Yep. I'll fess up, this is one of my experiment coins from storage. Took over a year for it. Really, it was the best one. The others turned out truly hideous.

What I did was found an old book, around 1920 or so. I put the coin part way into the book and left it on my closet shelf and checked up on it periodically. No sprinkling, no heat applied, just whatever came about. I ought to photograph some of the fugly ones that resulted.
