didnt we see this before ?

link

correct me if im wrong , but wasnt there a post not to long ago regarding these or similar cards from someone who was concerned that they were not real. i was going through these auctions and these just looked awfull familier. i think the posters name was kj johnson or something like that and we were waiting for him to get the cards back from grading. as soon as there was some ? about if he was representing himself truthfully he dropped off the boards and we never found out the outcome. this seller also just sold these same two cards for over 2200.00 last week and got good feedback on the transaction. what gives? do you think this person selling these cards was the same as the one running these auctions and is trying to judge how authentic we think the cards are ? or are there multiple sellers running the exact same scam auctions with the same cards ? and if this is the case it sure looks profitable to flip a horrible looking counterfit that was probably bought for 10.00 and turn it into a 2200.00 windfall over and over.
just my 2 cents about something that seems to be getting worse instead of better.

aloof
the name was kjohnson86, and if his motives were pure i wonder what happened when the cards came back from psa

Almost no feedback for the current seller. His last sale was also a raw 52T Mantle, before that a CD, a video game, and one of those "Buy Positive Feedback!" schemes. He's located in Puerto Rico.

His history and methodology fairly scream "SCAM ARTIST" and yet the last Mantle sale (for more than $3K) got positive feedback. I would bet the buyer (if real) was foolish enough to leave feedback before having the card authenticated.

No idea what KJohnson's brief presence here was intended to accomplish, or if it is related, but this constant avalanche of scams is wearying. I would not be surprised if they came to boards occasionally, posing as newbies, to see what we look for in a scam.
