My newest Barber Half aquisition!

jdimmickjdimmick Posts: 9,675 ✭✭✭✭✭
Now that its offical and the coin is in my possesion and the deal has been made, Ill share my newest Barber Half. Been searching for quite a while for this date in this grade. The only other Au-55 belongs to a current board member (which he has no intention of selling) and thier is no longer a PCGS-58 as it has been recently upgraded to an ms-61.

Nice coin that has been lightly cleaned in its life, but has nice eye-appeal, no distractions, no planchet problems or significant marks. Just a little wear on the higher points from a short time in circulation. Those of you who know Barber Halfs, know how hard a certifiable 04-s is to find, and the price guides are meaningless for this coin.

I am woring on getting better pic's of coin and will post later.

    Your barber looks nice!!

and thier is no longer a PCGS-58 as it has been recently upgraded to an ms-61.

I would like to hear the story about the 58 that became a 61- wouldn't the rub that brought the 58 grade originally prevent it from being a 61??
