King John penny upgrade...

Not known for my big pictures but i've just acquired this, class 5C (or maybe 6A), King John penny, RAUF ON LUND

And despite the fact that i just can't scan it, because it's most noticable from a certain angle this coin does have a light rainbow tone.

On some of the higher point you may see some slight hints of colour, well those colours are on the coin itself, magenta, gold, cyan etc. (right hand side of the reverse cross is one place, from the beads to the R!)

  • Well i just need the following monarchs for my monarch set now.

AEthelred II - Henry I, Henry II, Richard I, Edward II, Richard II, Henry IV-Edward VI, Charles I and the Commonwealth.

but that's on hold now for a while cos i'm saving for a Gothic, or perhaps it should be THE Gothic?

A little o/c, but hey, what do you expect for an 800 year old coin?
