One of the things I greatly enjoy about going to shows is getting to meet fellow board members. Another thing I like is helping people coming to our city to enjoy their visit while they are here. Let's combine the two.
I'll be at the show every day and probably at most of the auction lot viewing days earlier in the week. If you'd like to get together even just to say hello when you have a few spare minutes, or you get lost and need directions, need a restaurant recommendation, or there's any other information you might need while in town, please feel free to PM me for my cell phone number.
Here's a reminder that ksteelheader is organizing a member dinner on Friday night at the Church Brew Works. Details here. It's sure to be a great time.
If you can't make it on Friday, I'd like to propose getting together for dinner on Thursday night at the Outback Steakhouse at PNC Park, a couple of blocks down and across the Clemente Bridge from the Convention Center. And even if you are going to the Church Brew Works on Friday, you're certainly welcome to attend as well.
One last thing - I spent this week at a conference at the downtown Hilton and I know some of you are staying there for the show. A lady attending the conference had a gold chain necklace grabbed from her neck while walking in Gateway Center right behind the Hilton. The perp was a young kid. Now, this is rare in downtown Pittsburgh, and probably happened because it was two women alone at 10PM in a poorly-lit area (not on the street), and while it pains me to even mention it I wanted you to know.

Bev and I are staying with our friends in Aliquippa Thursday thru Sunday. Don't know about dinner plans yet...have not been informed(must be need to know stuff). I look forward to seeing you again during the week. Perhaps at PTVetter's table if not at one of the dinners.

Kathy and I will be walking the floor at both the pre-show and the ANA (when I'm not in board meetings). We have a donor appreciation dinner to go to Thursday night, but are planning on joining the group at the Church Brew Huuse on Friday if no emergencies arise. If you see an unusally dressed attendee at the ANA wearing buckskins and beaver, grab him and look under the coyote cape hat... it'll be me! I'm unveilng my new persona as "Iron Will - Oldest Living Mountain Man!" Should be a hoot... major political announcement at ANA as well.
Best wishes!
