No wonder everything is so slow, all you guys clogging up the works with your moderns!
(or are they semi-moderns?)
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

good score on the Jeffs, but before you strut you might want to read the thread again and pay particular attention to the grade we were discussing. as i had said, FS 1962's aren't necssarily abundant but they are the most common of the 60's dates in FS. to illustrate that point, there are over 100 coins graded higher than MS64FS by PCGS. as a matter of fact, from 1951 through 1970-S there are only two dates with more Full Step coins certified by PCGS than 1962, that being 1958-D and 1959!!!!

in a nutshell, you had stated in the thread that you were assuming you'd make a 1962 Jefferson in MS66FS and i doubted that............and hoping won't cut it, take my word for it!!
still, good grades. keep plugging away and i have no doubt you'll have the last laugh on me and score a 66!!! at least i hope you do. just give me a shot at it.

i'm not sure what date(s) you're referring to, but i'll assume it's 1962. there are currently 95 listed at MS65FS and 11 listed at MS66FS.
as to selling price, i would place a 1962 Jefferson PCGS MS64FS at under $40, MS65FS around $100 and the MS66FS above $250 depending on who's doing the bidding/buying. i used to have fairly extensive sales records for the series but the file was lost to a virus. also worth considering, there have been about seven 65FS's and two 66FS's made in the past year. beware of buying low pop coins that have been proven to exist in greater numbers by continuously "growing" in slabs.
another good example of this phenomenon is 2003-D in MS66FS which some foolheartily bought less than a year after issue for close to $200 and up. the April 2004 PCGS pop was six in MS66FS and one in MS67FS. it is currently seventeen in MS66FS and one in MS67FS!!!!!! that's in a four month period and the pop is soon to be growing to more than 30. i see it as a $50-$100 coin for a short period, depending on how bad the bidders want it, and by this time next year possibly under $50 if the pop grows anymore.
i call this The Bath Syndrome taking place right before our eyes as the coin can be BIN'd for $99 and it's still too much for me to bite!!

to see how they grade??? I have a few in mint sets that have FS
Tim
i think it's a far better approach to learn the series and learn how PCGS grades the series. sending coins to be holdered is always a better proposition if i have a pretty fair idea of what the grade is as opposed to submitting and "hoping" for a certain grade.

I misunderstood Tap444's question;
"what does the 64fs sell for and what would a 66fs sell for"
I thought he was asking what a 1966 FS coin would sell for.
