O/T - How do i make a pictures file size smaller?

ie - to upload pics to the message boards.. (i want to upload, not LINK)

is there some kind of setting, such as pixels per sq inch or something i should change?

any help is appreciated..

If you open the picture in Microsoft Photo Editor you can then select Image - Resize. That will give you a box where you can change the width and height of the picture. Remember that if you want the new size to be, say, 25% of the original to reduce the height and width by 50% each (not 75% each) since size is the product of the two. I would guess that other photo editors have a similar option.
