Opinions on this toned Morgan?

100% AT, but not wholly unattractive.

Dissenting/Concurring opinions?

    Hi,
I like the reverse much more than the obverse, the toning is very "spotty."
Nice full strike, typical of an early S mint Morgan. Probably MS65 without the AT.

    How's the luster?
Any chance of dipping then submitting it? I assume its raw or in a 3rd world holder...

I concur it is AT, but I don't like the toning.

The cheek looks very pitted, is that just the toning that makes it look that way, or is it really pitted?
  • Raw.

Cheek is pitted for real, no hairlines, likely a legitimate MS63 under the toning.

The toning here is a bit too overboard, looks cartoonish (IMHO), but it is still interesting to me that silver can turn that color. So it's a keeper (for amusement values).
  • I think a tube of Bondo would fix up the obverse and all the reverse needs is a fresh coat of blue and it'll be a beauty!!image
  • The obverse looks like it really could have naturally happen with the exception of the dark spot around the ear. The reverse is just plain nasty.
  • Sorry, but it's nasty looking.

Dave: It's not my type of natural looking high eye appeal coin.
