Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.
Please keep us posted when receive in hand. Without making DPL does make you wonder if photo played with. With that look and the return I would have gone for it too though. Hope its nice for you.

The contrast was increased in photoshop a whole bunch to make the fields that black and the devices that frosty. A PL graded coin does not photograph like that without a lot of "help."
I don't doubt the coin is nice, but I also don't doubt that the photo was doctored a lot either.

I emailed the seller and let him know that if the picture had been altered that I would be sending it back. Here was his response.
Wow!!
I'm stunned! Are you having some misplaced buyers remorse??? That was a pretty accusatory and hostile response from you. I offer your money back if unhappy with your purchase? In nearly 1000 sales to date, NO one has taken me up on the offer. Look at my feedback, and repeat business! I really wish I wouldn't have shipped this coin today! It's an awesome coin, and it's not a "feel good" for me to send it to someone who doesn't even wait until the coin arrives before the complaints roll in!!
The picture of the coin was taken in a light dome which is a product made specifically for photographing coins. These light domes provide an accurate depiction of the coin's contrast by reflecting the mirrored surfaces against the camera lens which reflects the fields black, while eliminating the inherent problems seen when taking a picture of a mirror. Obviously the frost doesn't reflect much, so you see the real contrast of a PL or DMPL, rather than the typical dull lusterless pictures you see on other auction pages. When you receive this coin, hold it out about a foot from your eyes, and by turning it to the right reflective angle, you will replicate my picture.
The Cameo is so strong on this coin that it actually has a slight rainbowing, which I've only seen on the deepest of cameo coins minted recently! I have never seen this attribute on the many hundreds of PLs & DMPLs I've examined. I have many ANACs DMPLs graded "Cameo" and as you may know, NGC does not designate "cameo" on their Morgans. None of those coins comes close to the depth of cameo seen on this coin. You bought a very high end 79S at a discount price! Please free to send it right back to me ASAP.
Boy....talk about hitting someones hot button! You didn't post your actual e-mail to him but from what you said it hardly seems "Accusatory and hostile". You simply stated a fact that should the coin not be as described you would return it. Let us know when you get it. that is a beautiful looking coin. I would have paid easily $200+ for it, if it is as shown in the pics.
I use the dome to take my coin photos and can say the cameos do come out better than without using the dome setup. BUT!, I can guarantee the contrast was jacked up a BUNCH on that photo.
probably still a nice coin in person but it will have some cloudiness in the fields if NGC gave it a PL designation.
Well the coin came in. She is real pretty. I take lousy photos so I won't post any. The photo on ebay was taken with a black reflective backround but I don't think the contrast was tampered with. When I hold the coin to reflect a black backround and the light shines from up top I get the same image. Snow white head on a black mirror. The reverse is a little less blazing than the obverse but I think it should have gone DMPL also.
It's a pretty coin, I paid over sheet but its a keeper. Now I can sell my 65DMPL, this one is just as nice.
