Should be good buys on E-bay tonight

I have got to believe there is a direct connection between the stock market and e-bay, which would represent unnecessary expenses. And with the market getting absolutely pounded today, not to mention the entire past month... the natural response for many people is to reduce their expenses. And I've noticed lower selling prices in general lately, as the market has been quiet for much of the early part of the year and making some noise now in the negative direction. Undoubtedly, this is a buyers market for sports cards, and I have certainly been capatalizing on it lately.

  • You are probably correct...although I don't think any "studies" have been done.

The market has been in a distribution pattern since June 30....I have been lucky enough to be on the "sidelines" during this phase.

I'm gonna have to watch the ebay/market correlation a bit closer.

Thanks a lot. I already spend way too da*n much money on baseball cards. Just what I needed - information that entices me to spend more. image
  • Look at it this way - if you purchase the same items when the market is up, discretionary income is available, and consumer confidence is high, you would be spending way much more cash than now.

AND if you buy some things that are NOT "hot" right now ('75s are hot for some reason), you could save even more money!!!

So Steve, taking the above into account, the more you buy, the more you are ACTUALLY saving!!! (just keep telling yourself that)
