Does 1837 reeded edge half qualify

for the quarterly grading?

Comments

  • Was it made for 2 years?

As we know bust halfs were made for more than two years, but the reeded edge with "50 cents" on the reverse was only made in 1836 and 1837 I beleive, but I am no expert. I am looking for a knowlegible person on the subject to provide some insight.

    Thanks,

Reeded Edge Halves with 50 cents on reverse were dated both 1836 and 1837. Very few were minted in 1836 (1000+) and that date is quite elusive in all grades.
