Why don't you start by making a few purchases from sellers who are respected board members, just to get your feet wet, and then go from there?

Yeah, I did actually, this is my reward while learning to drive, he says that im doing such a good job that he'll do me a favor, so I told him I wanted him to get an ebay account for the two of us to use, so he's gonna.

The best advice I can think of to give you is to read the feedback, not just their rating, but the comments too. I've bought from people with negitives, just not many negitives, and I read the negitive feedback too. I also think its good if people have a return policy of some sorts.
