That's a crappy example of the breed, done by an amateur. You should have seen the one that accidentally got slabbed by PCGS. It was a work of art.

I once tried selling a similarly modified "Booby Head" Large Cent in AG on eBay four years ago with the title "disgusting old large cent".


I had seen several better grade large cents with the E on the reverse changed to a U. Mine only brought me $2.00 but K6AZ saw the auction, which inspired him to post his disgusting Flying Eagle, which I won for $3.57. He and I have had much more than $3.57 worth of fun sending this coin back and forth. Perhaps some of you here have seen his image of it.
