A little of topic but that MOVIE about 3000 hit is coming

SOON I seen a preview last night at the theatre. Here is a link to the website. Not much there but it looks pretty good. I am not a Bernie Mac fan but he seems to do a good job. The Movie is about a player that retires with 3000 hits exactly. And his entire Post career is based around that accomplishment until A record keeper learns that he really had 2997 hits and this forces him out of retirement. A loose description.

Maybe but I dont think Wade slipped Home plate the tongue, atleast I didnt see any.

The preview I read had the Bernie Mac character being a "Bonds-like" me only type of person who probably burnt a lot of bridges and was not admired during his career.

Its probably going to be a "bad guy finally sees the light/relationships mean more than accomplishments" type of movie. If it gets two stars or above, Ill probably go see it if for no other reason than to see the game footage.

A while back they had tryouts at Miller Park for extras in the movie. I had to work, but it would have been fun to go up there and give it a go, if for nothing else to be able to step foot onto the field at Miller.
