I am looking at a Peace Dollar on Ebay that is in the old green PCGS Holder.

They are saying it is ms64.

What is the deal with the old school grading?
Is it overgraded or undergraded?

It appears to be ms64 to me.

Many people feel that the old holders have coins that were graded a bit tighter, so some gems could be found. However, many feel that these old holders have been picked through for gems, so the coins still remaining in old holders probably won't blow anybody away. I think the key question is, how confident are you in your own assessment skills, and how reliable is the seller??
