Who has the worst feedback record on ebay?

fivecentsfivecents Posts: 11,207 ✭✭✭✭✭
What is the highest number of negative feedbacks held by an ebay member?

Comments

  • You mean here on the boards or just on Ebay? I've gotten 2 negs. One from a 99c item that the guy never paid for and one from an item that the post office lost and took 3 months to get the darn money back from the post office.

I meant an ebay member not a PCGS forum member.......unless the record holder is a member here.image

I've seen several with over 100 negs though I can't remember their names.

I don't know about the number of negatives, but as far as percentage goes, this is the worse that I have seen:

Why is that guy still on eBay?

I don't know Russ. I have been watching him for several months. Every day there are several entertaining negatives.
  • I can't believe people read the descriptions and don't understand that they are gambling on whether it might work or not. Of course, that assumes they actually read the descriptions...and the shipping charges before bidding. image

I'm convinced a fairly high percentage of bidders don't bother reading the descriptions. What really amazes me is that guy still gets bids. I would not bid on a dateless Buffalo from a seller who had feedback like that.

I agree! I noticed he kept on using the same excuse. These products are not for everyone and vary. Kind of a lame come back.

How does someone amass a feedback rating of -96 before getting NARU'd?!?!

Still, it might be fun to go to a German-to-English translation site to see what some of these feedbacks say...

OMG! How is that possible??? It's quite interesting when Google tries to translate it....It only can get about half of it right, so insults and complaints are mixed in with goodness knows what. Here's a small sample:

    hands down is it sweethome9

At one point he had 483 negatives IN THE LAST MONTH along with 300+ neutrals

has 1728+ negs and 1106 neuts right now

He makes ebay too much money for them to get rid of him
  • bigtonydallasbigtonydallas Posts: 1,126 ✭✭✭
SWEETHOME9 still has a 95% approval. I would still not bid unless I can clearly see a rare variety that was worth more than the auction's bids. Who has the worst percentage with at least 100 positive feedbacks?

If someone had 100,000 feedbacks and 1,000 were negative they would have a 99% approval rating. While soneone with 500 feedbacks with only 100 negative would have a 80% approval. Which one would you bid on?

  • Funny ebay feedback? Check out this guy.

I don't know how some of these people can still sell anything, but Eric's probably right, bidiots just don't bother reading the description or looking at feedback for that matter.

    << <i>How does someone amass a feedback rating of -96 before getting NARU'd?!?! >>

Even his positives are actually supposed to be negatives, if my high school German isn't failing me. If the buyers hadn't miscued on the radio button, he could have broken (-100).
  • After looking at some of those feedbacks, I wonder when the total quantity of NARU'd users will exceed the world population.

    Let's translate a couple:

    "Absolute sh*t!"
    "What an A$$.!"
    Prost!

I didn't even know there was such a thing as a negative feedback.image I would think that even the newbies would know not to buy from a jerk like that.

    Those wacky Germans. image

Seriously, though, I don't think I'd ever seen feedback below -2 before. A scammer can get away with scamming twice, and the third time, they're generally NARU'd.

But yeah, -96?!?!?! How can you possibly have sane bidders go after your stuff at ANY price with a solidly negative rating?
  • GooberGoober Posts: 980 ✭✭✭
Actually pretty easy. I was looking at buying a Canon G2 off Ebay a couple years back. I searched auctions for about a week. This seller had 269 Positive feedback with zero negs. He was selling a ton of G2's. The Buy It Now was just too good to be true. People were gobbling those babies up. I emailed the guy to tell him I'd pay his BIN if he held one for me. Well he never emailed back but I kept checking his auctions. Within one week he was well over 100 negatives. He had scammed I don't know how many people for over $45k. This info I got from one of those who had left feedback right before Ebay gave him the boot.
    Prost!
