I don't know what he's like as a seller/trader, but I love those pinups he drew for Playboy.

He used to be a VIP around here, a player if you will...but that was before....."the accident".

Now you can find him in an often disheveled state ranting on the open boards......sad really.

    Loves me some shiny!
  • Dont' know him, but sounds like PSA's own Bobby Fischer.

  • Yikes, I thought Vargha had a heart attack when I saw the topic on board. That seems like the new chic thing on this site. Now, I'm having one because I never thought he'd ever sell a card. Dave, hang onto those things. They could be worth something some day.

    Best,

thats what i thought, too.. the title sounded serious.. i figured it was something bad.. i was hoping that he hadn't lost his other arm..

ya know, people like to talk about great accomplishments and great athletes.. David Vargha has managed to belt out 14,000+ posts in his career on the CU forums, doing all the typing with only 1 arm.. thats not his only disadvantage, either.. i'm not sure what sort of "booster" seat he must use at his desk, or if he has a computer/work area custom built for midgets.. errr.. the "vertically" challenged..

  • If you made 5 posts a day, it would take you 8 years to get to Vargha's level. This man should be honored in some way. He's the Ripken/Rice of website posting.

Dave, can you give a speech?

    Thanks,

    S.

    Pan

Speaking of having only one arm. I’ve got this wisdom tooth that needs to be extracted. I'm kind of worried since my Dentist is somewhat 'challenged' - missing one eye and one arm and is vertically deficient, so he stands on a box - thus, I have considered IV sedation which is not covered by my insurance - don't want to be awake - watching a guy with one arm try to remove a molar may not be a pretty sight to behold. Now his dental assistant is a different matter completely as she wears short skirts and every time she enters the room my dentist seems to have a case of dropsy and she has to continually pick up instruments off the floor. That too is rather unsettling and pleasurable simultaneously. So, if you guys don’t hear from me, you know I met up the an untimely demise from Dr. of Death!
