About Rare Coins in Chino

Hi Everyone,

I want to invite all PCGS message board members to come to my shop and sign up for the Bid Board and we will waive the $5.00 application fee.

Things are progressing along nicely here, and I expect that within the next few weeks the shop will be running at full throttle.

We are seeking Bid Board consignors as well as Bidders.

We have been updating our website on an almost daily basis, check it out.

Look for our Numismatic question of the week contest to be coming sometime this week.
Mike

Thanks but it is an old friend. I believe I sold it to Mike at the NGC trade and grade in Vegas. Nice guy as well.

And ohhh do I miss her.

Or I have the wrong guy here.image

I did the best I could with my scanner. It's pretty close. This is an excellent example of original bag toning. The typical color progression. The colors in person are vibrant and iridescent. The luster is great. Did I say this is an original bag toned Morgan? image And can you tell I really liked this coin? In an NGC holder graded ms65*.

Why does the "lady" have an Adam's apple?
  • Hey Everyone! I have been to Mike's new shop, and it is fantastic! I would encourage all local So. California members to stop by and check it out. It is a clean, spacious bright spot amongst the available shops in the area to stop, relax, talk coins, meet other interested coin collectors and above all meet friends!
Mike has a shop that is very user friendly, a well stocked library where you can do research on the premises on coins you have, or on what he has in inventory, or are up for sale on the bid board. There is ample room to relax and come for a visit and hang out, and talk coins! The shop is located just seconds off the 60 Freeway at the Central Ave. exit, plenty of parking, good security, and is near alot of good spots to eat too! Mike's knowledge of coins and the coins market is vast, he also knows price history and current trends having been a pricing analyst for the CDN blue and greysheets prior to opening his new shop. About Rare Coins has a great bid board too, I think this could quickly grow into the best bid board in So. California. Also, the beautiful toned Morgan Dollar pictured above formerly belonging to STMAN is prominently and proudly displayed in Mike's Coin Case and is FOR SALE!!!! I will attest to it looking like the picture, it is a beautiful piece of art.....also in my last stop recently at his shop, I saw one of the most beautiful GSA's I have ever seen, an 1882-CC DMPL graded NGC MS-65. I love this coin and may well snag it on my next visit. It sits next to Steve's former toned eyepopper in Mike's display case. I look forward to my next visit to Mike's shop and hope to see many of you there in the near future.

I've already been in Mike's shop... spacious and very coin-friendly atmosphere. His raw Morgans impress me as being very accurately graded, and the guy in charge is a really nice fellow! image
    When in doubt, don't.
