Missing the Forest for the Trees?

An important part of the current coin market is in what is becoming available at auction. Higher prices eventually loosen up strong hands and some important issues appear from decades of residing in someone's collection.

For me, this is an exciting time to be in the hobby.

All the carping about high prices and the reluctance to spend money for new aquisitions made me stop and think about the opportunities being laid out before our eyes. Just as I sold my first home when the real estate market was hot and bought a nicer home, I'm selling a lot of my current collection and am on the prowl for some of the true rarities being offered for the first time in years.

I have to admit, it was and is hard to part with some of my coins, but the hunt for my next coin more than makes up for the reluctance.

I'm having fun again!
