Three very nice finds.

1) A 1971-D UNC that has very nice blue toning on the obverse and reverse. Stacked up against the other three or four hundred IKEs, this one stuck out like a soar thumb. When I first saw it, Iw as going to pass, but every time I looked at the stacks, that one kept grabbing my eye. Probably an MS64, but the toning is so neat.

2) Another UNC 1971-D IKE that has two very nice struck through areas on the reverse. Struck through metal maybe-I don't know, but still nice.

3) Nothing big, but for $2.00, I could not pass up the 1973-D in UNC.

Each coin was $2.00, so I figured what the heck.

Richard.

You can't beat the price. That '73 is a real bargain too.

I like the 1973 P&D Ike dollars because they are only available in mint sets. I would like to see a picture of the blue toning...sounds really cool.

Yeah, I know I did not need the extra 73-D, but for $2.00 I just could not pass it up. imageimage Too bad there were not any more in there or I would have bought those, too. image
