Home U.S. Coin Forum

Well...I visited another forum! I was surprised...

...at how little was going on. I mean, I post a message or a question here and in one minute I have a reply. I posted an intersting discussioon topic on another forum and during the whole day, I only got one response. (Now it could be that I am just a lame poster. No...methinks not! image)
Anyway, I thought you guys might find that interesting.

  • It might be more interesting if we knew the topic, and where you posted it image

there are some lame message boards I visit for other interests, and typically wait DAYS for a response.

This forum is after 9AM EST very busy. But before that, almost no one posts. As I live in the Netherlands, I always have to wait till 3 PM before it's getting busy. quite frustrating sometimes....

  • I know I post on the NGC boards and their is almost no action. I was shocked when I came back over here and saw how quickly my threads get burried 3 pages backimage

  • Big forums like this are great for asking questions and getting information, no doubt about it. I do have a hard time keeping up with everything, though. A lot of times, I can't even keep up with what I have replied to and have to go searching for it because they fall off the page so fast! It is also a little harder to get to know people unless you spend a lot of time reading and posting and harder for people to get to know you too. It is kind of like the difference in going to a big nightclub and going to a corner pub. image I like both, personally.

Over on CoinTalk, you got 10 replies in one day to your 'artistic coin' post. That's not too bad for a smaller forum! image

If you're referring to the "other" forum, look at the speed ( or lack therof) of the forum itself. It's annoying. Maybe they had someone in bangalore do the programming, but whoever set it up didn't do so very good.

They typicalyl get some responses before being burried. At least I have tons of new threads to read instead of watching the leaves fall from the tree's. I like posting over there and will continue to do so, but when I want some action I am going to log on here image
