The 1971-S And 1972-D Business Peg Legs ?

The lower left serif in the R of LIBERTY is missing.

For the 71S, it occurs on the proof and business strike issues and is very hard to get on the business strikes. For the proofs, it is easier to find. In fact, I have a couple of spares if you need one.
  • image There Are Several Differences In The 1971-S Peg Leg. However, The Easy Ones To Recgonize Are:
    (1) The Left Leg On The Letter " R" Will Not Have A Serif And Look
    Like A Pirates " Peg Leg "
    (2) The Serif Will Be Missing On The Top Left On The Letter "y" in liberty.
    (3) There Are Other Differences, (Hair pattern), ect. But The First Two Are Easier To Recgonize.

1972-D Peg Leg : The Left Leg On The Letter "R" Will Be Missing The Serif, Just Like The 1971-S.
There Are Still Many Of The 1972-D Out There, But The 1971-S
Is Very Hard To Find. ( The Proof In "Peg Leg" ) Is Pretty Common.
