i started looking at me 3 large cents and i noticed on my 1798 for the first time its a rev. of 1796.i thought it was the more common and cheaper one. G4 would bring about $45. but its acutally a G4 ( it lettering is worn but clear enough to read bust lacks details) so i would put it in the G4 grade. but howd you like that it has 19 leaves on the right side and exactly 16on the other. so i figure this has got to be a 1796 rev. am i right?

Could you please explain what this phrase means for us unedumakated newbies? I have seen similar phrases before but do not know what it relates to.
Thanks
i thought of mine as a nice 1790s coin but for the most part a 50$ error. that i should have passed on EBay . the only one Ebay i have ever gotten. but now 2 years later looking closer at the REV. its a 1796 style REV. in G-4 grade. now i wonder how bad it was at $50
And the "regular" reverse has two leaves at the top right of the wreath.
If you have a Reverse of '96, post a pic of both obverse and reverse. There are three varieties: S-155 is scarce, S-156 is rare to very rare, and S-178 is rare to very rare.
