1963 Topps on Ebay tonight (Not Spam)

Just wondering who was in on the '63s that ended tonight. About 190 of them all in PSA 8. They were in groups of about 15-20 ending every 15 minutes. The seller (ID free4l) unloaded a lot of cards, including just about every star card, but I think he lost some $$ due to the bunching technique.

I've been trying to refrain from buying cards lately but I couldnt resist. Picked up 11 PSA 8 commons for just over $136. That's pretty darn cheap.

I also had a 1968 Topps Willie Stargell PSA 8 that I was selling go for $75 !!! Not sure how. Granted it was a very top end 8 that I submitted and was sure it was a 9. But I checked it about 3 hours before it was done, and it was at $31, then I check it tonight, and BAM !!

Anyone else on the boards buy any of those 63s ?? Happy with the prices or what ??

I picked up a dozen raw '63's from free4L yesterday, mostly semi highs, and I still haven't heard from him/her regarding combined shipping for the 12 - have you heard or do you know what combined shipping is? I've been holding off paypalling the deal until I know what to enter for shipping.

I'm in the same boat, Morrell. I got 11 different emails saying a won a card for xxx price, but not a word about combined shipping.

I'm not in a hurry though. I also saw the raw 63s he had. I didnt spend as much time checking those out. Were they nice ??

EDIT: Just checked my email and sure enough, AN INVOICE !!! With very reasonable shipping too. Thumbs up to free4L.

Rugby: Ditto my shipping; got the info this morning. I haven't rec'd the cards yet but they looked very nice on the scans, sharp and crisp (obviously, though, not 8's or they would have been slabbed). I too believe we benefitted from the way the lots were grouped. Congrats on your score - I think we both made out very nicely. My raw cards (1 common, 3 high numbers, 8 hard to get mid series) came to 40 bucks, including shipping.

That 2nd to last series (450ish to 522 i think) is a killer. Before deciding to build the set in graded form, I worked on it in raw form for a while. Now my dad has the raw set, but I remember looking through Beckett at the NM prices of some of those in that series (Flood, Freehan rookies). Pretty insane. A lot like the high series from '67.

Be nice if something like that went down every sunday night.
