what I would like to know is whether the seller will pull it out of auction as he didn't numerous times on ebay when it didn't bring the numbers he wanted.

I meant to post this on the US Coin Forum, but botched it. So, consider this poll a proxy ad for our friend, Cleon.

I will be extremely disappointed if the coin does not
sell for at least 25k-however I do have a reserve on this
coin. It is a far better coin in all aspects as relates to the NGC
coin that recently sold in New York for $23k!!!

    So what is the reserve?

Sorry but that information is confidential.
The reserve is very much in line with your survey.

Reserves confidential? Hardly. The Heritage bidding will keep on listing it as "reserve not met" until it reaches the reserve bid.

Or, a few days before the auction, Heritage will bump at the price to one increment below the reserve and indicate that "next bid meets reserve". Either way, we will soon know what the reserve is, so you might as well fess up.

I would prefer not to give out that info as Heritage might
not approve of this type of disclosure.

Why is it that my Barber is the only one to get any kind
of early action? Not that I am complaining.

The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.

$21,000 bid places this over $24,000 gross. It's a shame that the right buyer couldn't be found to save the $3000 seller's fee (no, it's not a buyer's fee!). And ebay was not the right place. I like the fact that Heritage can bid on this coin and pay only hammer.

Coin has met my reserve price and two legitimate buyers
are bidding on it at present.
Someone could have had a nice bargain on EBAY.

Actually, the coin really does look nice. 25K might well be reasonable. Out of my league, but very possible.

I wouldn't touch this coin with a ten foot pole. Next time around, with a different seller, who knows though.

My barber half sold at the Pitsburgh auction for $24725.00.
Is that the price sold prior or after the fifteen percent fee.?
Will I be netting $21500 or $24725.00. Kindly expain in due course.

    thank you!!!

You will get the $21,500 less any seller's fee. Heritage will get the remaining $3,225 plus whatever they charge you for commission.

Heritage's seller's fees are a minimum of 5%, which means at the minimum the seller's fee is going to be $1,075. image

I just read my contract. It clearly indicates -0- sellers fee
    and a 2& buyback fee.
    I assume that I will net $21500.00
