What's up with SC State Quarters bags?

I have had a bunch for a while that I couldn't even get more than face value. I go on ebay today and I see many going for $50 a bag. Did someone discover some rare error? Anyone know anything?

I've wondered the same thing. The singles, rolls, and bags (mint issued rolls or bank rolls) have gone up quite a bit in price suddenly. Even the trade-rag advertisers are asking significant premiums for them, too. I'd sure like to know what's going on with their trends.

There are several wholesalers paying $25 a roll and $2,500 a bag. I've tried to figure out why they jumped so much in price. I guess the big promoters of state quarters need them.
