A surprise phone call!

I recently posted pictures of two collections of investment grade coins that I purchased from Bruce Amspacher in the early 1980's. I pulled them out of safe keeping to have them graded since they are all raw. Imagine my surprise when I received a call from Bruce Amspacher last Friday. He expressed his interest in having an opportunity to buy both collections back from me. Boy does this forum ever get exposure.

Pleasantly surprised,
Louis

  • Hi,

Can you repost the pics? Would love to see what was of interest.

GrandDad: I remember your post, and replied that the $20 Lib (1892-S?) was a gorgeous coin. You have some high quality coins that were stored away for a while image

I think that's pretty neat (Mr. Amspacher, are you lurking? We invite you to join in! image ), but it's not like you'd have any trouble selling those coins! They are wonderful.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
