Last of the Silver Dollars

I have this neat little plaque of "last of the Silver Dollars" The Morgan is a 1921-S and the Peace is a 1927, The silver certificate is a 1957 A Series.
My Question is: I am going to sell this at some point in time. However, I am planning on replacing the 1927 Peace Dollar with a 1935. Since that was the last year they were issued. Now about the Silver Certificate. Was The 1957 A Series Blue Seal the last year of the Silver Certificates??

Thanks
Jeff

  • The 1957 was the last of the series but I don't have any idea how to tell in what exact year your bill was made. Each year did not have its own series.

  • Thanks Loanshark.
The Bill says right on it. "1957 Series A . I guess that would be good enought for me as being the last year. Now if I add the 1935 Peace Dollar, the set would be technically correct as being the last of the Silver Dollars.
    Thanks again,
    Jeff

    I just love this site.

    Jeff,

If you don't count the 1964 Peace and the 1976 Silver Clad Ike, then I guess the 1935 Peace would be the correct choiceimage

Don't know anything about currency except how to use it to buy coins. Nice little holder you have there. Dave
